What we're working on
Our members set the agenda. These are the issues the board is pressing with the Office of Cannabis Management, the Legislature and the Governor's office.
A seat at the table
Processors make the products on every dispensary shelf, yet they are rarely in the room when rules are written. We press for processor representation in Office of Cannabis Management rulemaking, stakeholder meetings and public comment.
Rules that can be followed
Licensees need clear, published standards and timely answers. We push for written compliance and inspection criteria, predictable timelines and a regulator that responds.
Fair access to shelves
Processors and the cultivators who supply them need a reliable route to retail. We back legislation and policy that open more shelves to New York-made products and keep revenue flowing to social equity dispensaries.
One voice for the supply chain
Cultivators, processors and retailers carry the same costs and the same red tape. We work with the other industry groups so the supply side speaks with one voice in Albany.
